Virginia M. Vogl - Holland -Martin - Connolly of Prairie Creeks Living Center at Strasburg CO passed from this life on November 4th, 2019.
Virginia was born August 8, 1924 in Longmont Colorado to Ferdinand [Fred] and Pearl [Sprague]. She was the third child born to this union. Her siblings included Albert, George, Richard, Robert, Edward, Francis and two younger sisters Beverly and Marilyn.
Virginia's childhood was spent on the family farm in Ft. Lupton CO. She graduated from Platteville High School in 1943.
On February 18, 1944 she married Roy William [Jack] Holland Jr. in Loveland, CO. Jack and Virginia had two sons, Jack Albert and Larry Edward. Roy William [Jack] died in Lubbock Texas on October 10th, 1950.
Virginia married Walter Adam Martin on June 24th, 1951 in LaSalle, CO. Walter and Virginia had two sons, Walter Allen and Randall Dale. In addition to Jack, Larry, Walt and Randy, Virginia helped raise Dan and Gary, two sons from a previous marriage by Walter Adam. The family farmed in several locations in Colorado including Peckham, Longmont, Strasburg and Hudson. Walter and Virginia later divorced.
In 1974 Virginia moved back to Longmont and started life on her own. Virginia married Gene Connolly on April 28, 1978 in Cheyenne, WY. On Oct 23, 1979 Gene passed away in Longmont CO.
Virginia continued living and working in Longmont. She bought her own home and enjoyed gardening. She worked for several years selling carpet for VeeBee carpets. During this time she reunited with an old acquaintance and friend, John Wagner. They spent several years cruising and traveling to many countries.
Virginia's later years were spent at Prairie Creeks Living Center located in Strasburg, CO.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Francis, Albert, George, Bob, Eddy her two sisters Beverly and Marilyn and sons by marriage Dan and Gary.
Virginia is survived by sons Jack Holland [Margie] Larry Holland [Sandy] Walt Martin [Elizabeth "Petey"] Randy Martin [Beverly]. Survivors also include eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
