Pat Gilbert Montano was born on March 17, 1942 in Walsenburg, Colorado to Abe and Ida Montano.  He was raised in North-Eastern Colorado along with his six brothers and seven sisters.  In 1963, he married his beloved wife JoAnn; they were married for 54-years.  His immediate family includes - two sons, Pat Jr. and Victor (wife Valerie Terrones), and one daughter Debbie (husband Larry Meadows).  Pat also had three grandchildren that he cherished – Ashley, Alyssa, and Brady.  Pat loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their recitals, softball games, baseball games, and was very proud of their academic achievements.   He also enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, working in the yard, and watching sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and the Colorado Rockies.  One of his favorite places to go was the family fishing contest in Saratoga, Wyoming where he could spend time with all of his relatives.  

                He passed away surrounded by family on November 3, 2017 in Lafayette, Colorado.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Ida, and his siblings Steven, Rocky, John, and Agnes.  He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, his children, and grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings Tony, Lee, Robert, Larry, Edna, Elsie, Stella, Rose, Lorraine, and Gen and their extended families.

                Pat and JoAnn are St. John the Baptist Catholic Church parishioners.
