Michael DuBois of Dacono, Colorado passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 7, 2019. Michael was born August 3, 1957, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to Arthur and Carol DuBois (Reynolds). After high school, Michael joined the United States Army, where he began his career in mechanics. While serving he was stationed all over the world. In 1978, while stationed in Hannam-dong, Seoul, South Korea he met his wife MiSuk. On a mild January day in 1979 they married. In 1980, his son, Michael Chon DuBois was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. In 1984, his daughter, Michelle Mary DuBois Bynes was born in Seoul, South Korea. Michael settled down in Colorado Springs, Colorado, while at Fort Carson, after being honorably discharged in 1988. Michael lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado until 2011. Michael then moved to Longmont, Colorado where he continued his work as a diesel mechanic for the St. Vrain Valley School District. In May of 2018, Michael moved to Dacono, Colorado.
Michael loved the outdoors-fishing, hunting, camping, and the ocean were at the top. His love for fishing will live on in the many people he taught. Michael loved spending time with his family any chance he could. Joking with his grandchildren always put a smile on his face.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother Arthur DuBois Jr., father Arthur DuBois, and mother Carol DuBois (Reynolds). He is survived by his wife MiSuk Chon, two adult children Michael DuBois(Iliana) and Michelle DuBois Bynes(Craig); sisters Shirley Preve and Robin Brand-Nichols; grandchildren Landon, Michael, Owen, and Mia; nephews, nieces, and many amazing friends.
