Mel joined the army after high school, and then joined the reserves. After coming home, Melvin became an avid gardener, growing everything you could think of. He loved music everything from Stravinsky to Lady Gaga. Mel was an excellent cook, he could make the most mouthwatering dishes you’d ever have. He loved animals, mainly cats and they loved him right back. He was a wine connoisseur, knowledgeable about all things wine.
Mel was very talented in so many areas, but mainly he was honest, forthright and loving to all. Mel was a hard worker, putting his all into any job or task and excelled in his craft.
This world is a little less bright without him, and he will always be loved and missed. He fought a particularly aggressive cancer for two years, and he never gave up.
He is a warrior.
