Jonathan Ellsworth Diehl was born September 25th, 1941 to Lillian and Wilbur Diehl in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He lived and worked in Dallas, Texas as a young man. He spent years working for Sears and the Dallas School District. He moved to Colorado and was a successful Peanut Brittle maker often called the "Brittle Man". He was quick with a joke and easily made friends. He was loyal and true to his wife Barbara with whom he just celebrated his 30th anniversary surrounded by family and friends. Jonathan passed away peacefully in his sleep August 22nd at Manor Care of Boulder. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother Wilbur and sister Marcella. He is survived by his wife Barbara Diehl of Longmont, daughters Vickie of Colorado Springs, Becky of Texas, Lisa of Ohio, sons Damon, Jack, and John, grandchildren Sarah, Maria, Rachel, Johnny, Joseph and Josiah, Amber, Danielle, Ben and Zach, Sebastian, Isabella, Adena, Julius, Savannah, and Christian. Great grandchildren Alan, Elijah, Isaiah, Briana, Kira, Sophie and Helena. Memorial service will be held the weekend of September 8th.
