Born March 19, 1940 to Jay and Mary Edith Holloway, Gale grew up in Muskegon, Michigan. She later moved to Wisconsin where she met and married her husband of almost 50 years, Tom Brandt. Together, they moved to Rochester, Minnesota and eventually to Longmont, Colorado in 1985 where they still reside. In 1991, gale became a licensed practical nurse and continued to work until 2012, exemplifying her role and leading others to do the same. Her belief was to treat all patients like you would want your own parents treated. She retired from Berthoud Living Center in 2012. Outside of work, Gale loved Elvis, antiques, and quilting, making individual quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Vila and son Carl “Butch”. She is survived by her husband Tom, son Floyd, Son Tom and his wife Kim, daughter Michelle and 4 grandchildren, Delaney, Jace, Matiyos and Skylar. Visitation will be Wednesday April 24th from 10am – noon at Carroll-Lewellen funeral home in Longmont followed immediately by a graveside service at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
