On Monday, April 1st 2019, Genelle Nichols, loving wife and mother of seven, passed away peacefully at the age of 84.
Genelle was born October 25th, 1934 in Brunswick, Georgia. Genelle meet her loving husband, Jimmy Nichols at a bus station in Brunswick, GA in 1964 and from there they spent 55 wonderful years together. Genelle loved her family very much, she enjoyed having everyone together for holidays, family reunions and just because. She loved watching the flowers bloom and working in her garden. Genelle loved to see the country side, she enjoyed just picking up and going on drives with Jimmy.
Genelle is survived by her husband Jimmy Nichols of Fort Morgan, her children Melvin & Oveta Clark, Cecil & Pat Clark, Velinda Nichols, Jimmy & Gina Nichols, Ron & Pam Nichols and Chris & April Nichols. Her sister Juanita Brown and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Genelle is proceeded in death by her father, Cecil Herbert Strickland Sr. her mother Eloise Elizabeth Kennedy, her brother’s Cecil Herbert Jr, Ralph Sinclair and sister’s Eloise Janet and Geneva. Her son Herbert Lee Nichols, her grandchildren Jeremiah Nichols and Eugene Autry Clark.
We will celebrate Genelle’s life Monday, April 8th at 10:30 AM, Heart of the Plain Cemetery 38044 Co Rd 16, Roggen, CO. Potluck to follow at 11:30AM, Legion Hall, 595 East Railroad Ave. Keenesburg, CO 80643
