ELAINE ZADEL born October 19, 1933 to Thelma and Nicholas Angulas in Longmont Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, sisters Rose Lewis and Kathryn Bell and a brother George Angulas.
She married George Lincoln Zadel on June 30, 1950. They had five children Johnny (wife Mary), James William Katsaros, Patricia Sudbeck (husband Rick), Theodore Zadel and George Gregory Zadel.
She has 16 grandchildren Jonathan Zadel (wife Julie), Christopher Zadel (wife Jennifer), Benjamin Zadel (wife Ruby), Molly Norgen (husband Troy), Tillie Subdeck, Hanna Felker (husband Tyler), Maggie Sudbeck, Nellie Sudbeck, Kayla Contardo (husband Kevin), Elizabeth Zadel, Leah Zadel, George Zadel Jr, Caroline Zadel and Grace Zadel, James Katsaros and Niki Katsaros.
Elaine has 9 Great grandchildren, Devon and Rylan Zadel, Caidance and Logan Zadel, Deanna and Madalyn Zadel, Stella and Pearl Norgen and Scarlet Felker. She loved spending time with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elaine and George moved from Frederick Colorado in 1951 to Pueblo Colorado where he and Elaine lived for many years. Elaine and George later moved to the country outside of Johnstown after George retired.
Her husband George passed away while living in Johnstown at age 59 in May 1988.
Elaine lived in Longmont, Colorado where her father had a restaurant. Her mother worked at the restaurant where Elaine ate all of her meals. She loved to go to the movie theatre in Longmont often watching one movie every day. When her father Nicholas retired, they moved to Frederick when she was in 8th grade. That is where she met and later married George Zadel.
Elaine is remembered as being a hard-working woman that helped George her husband with the many rentals that were always in need of repairing, painting and cleaning. She later managed and ran a Liquor Store in Johnstown, Colorado. She was a fabulous cook. She also loved to garden and canned many wonderful jars of pickles, peppers and tomatoes. She loved to travel and made many trips to Greece to visit relatives. She also traveled to Europe, Italy, New Zealand and Australia.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at
Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church 1730 W. 12th St, Loveland Colorado. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
