Edward J. 'Jim' Berdinner
After living for 93 years, Jim passed from this life on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Loveland, CO. Born in Racine, Wisconsin in 1925, Jim lived in Colorado most of his life. After coming home from Guam during WWII he embarked on a 68 year marriage with Vivian Tillert that was blessed with two children, Cheryl (deceased) and Richard.
Jim moved his family from Racine to Phoenix, AZ where he worked in tool and die making and as a watchmaker. From there they moved to Colorado where he taught machine shop at the state reformatory at Buena Vista. He then went to Dow Chemical (Rocky Flats) before settling at IBM Boulder. A long career as a tool and model maker ended in a retirement filled with traveling and fishing in places like Yellowstone National Park and Alaska. One such journey took him, along with Vivian, on a windjammer cruise to the Caribbean to celebrate their 35th anniversary. Jim has been a member of the Loveland Church of Christ for over 30 years.
Vivian preceded him in death, as did his grandson, Ryan Berdinner. Jim will be remembered by Rick & his wife, Karen, grandson, Erick, great-grandchildren, Faith, Elijah, and Marley, and his church friends.
