Renee J. McCoy (Juhl) age 71 passed away on Sunday August 30, 2020 at her residence in Niwot Colorado, surrounded by her Family. Renee fought a hard battle against Ovarian Cancer and finally winning her fight with Grace and Peace. She was born to Earl and Lillian Juhl on July 25, 1949 and lived a full life in Boulder, Colorado. Renee graduated from Boulder High School in 1967 and Also from The Art Institute of Colorado in 1969. Renee was a celebrated member of the Boulder Police Department for 21 years as a Records Specialist and also became an extremely successful Composite Sketch artist who was sought out and utilized all over the state of Colorado.
Renee exuded love, grace and kindness in her spirit and loved life. Art had been her passion since she was a child and excelled in Portrait painting, sculpting, sketching as well as Stained Glass and Still Art. Growing up on a Farm in Boulder she loved being around the animals and spoke so fondly of her Horses and her Saint Bernards, Bruno and Thumper. She always loved to travel and was able to go all over the world making friends wherever she went. She enjoyed laughing, relationship and family the most; but also loved reading, music, her plants, the outdoors, scuba diving, dancing, sailing, "glamping" and of course, high fashion.
Renee is survived by her two brothers Earl and Bob Juhl, Four children (and spouses) Sean (Jen), Luke (Kimberly), Travis (Kate), and Caraline (Anton). Her grandchildren Kelsey, Megan, Alyanna, Justin, Faith, Caiden, Brody, Taylor, Serenity, Charlie and Olivia and great grandchildren Dawson, Namine and Jaxson.
Every soul Renee came in contact with was made better by having known her. She loved with intensity and unconditionally. Her Children and Grandchildren were blessed daily by her presence and she constantly catered to their specific needs. Renee will be so missed and could never be replaced. We can take solace in knowing that Renee had a loving relationship with Jesus and He was with her through this whole transition. Her loved ones, friends, and the lives that she touched can reconcile this enormous loss knowing that there is a special place in the heavens for her.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday September 26th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Grace Place in Berthoud.
Mom was blind sided by this diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer. Even with a grim prognosis, Mom was determined to fight hard for her future here on Earth. Had she been able to find this sooner and start treatment I am confident Mom would have overcome this horrible disease. To find more information regarding signs and symptoms please visit orcahope.org
