Barbara Tackman

October 21, 1936 ~ June 6, 2021 (age 84)

Barbara Jean Tackman (21 October 1936 – 6 June 2021) passed away at the Rehabilitation & Nursing
Center of the Rockies late Sunday evening after many months of declining health. She was 84. Barbara
married Earl Henry Tackman (30 March 1932 – 2 January 2014) on 26 November 1955 and enjoyed a
long happy marriage of 58 years. Barb and Earl retired in 1987 and moved from Saginaw, MI, to Estes
Park, CO, where they lived a long relaxing retirement in the Rocky Mountains, one of their life-long
Barb’s life revolved around her family, friends and pets. She was a caring and giving person who could
always be counted on. Others’ needs, struggles and happiness always came before her own. Anyone, or
anyone’s pet, was always welcomed at Barb’s house.
Barbara Jean (Burzyck) was the youngest child born to Joseph Anthony Burzyck and Francis Mary
(Slominski) in Saginaw, MI. Barb is survived by five, of her eight children, Gary Earl (spouse Teresa) of
Park City, UT, Lloyd Brian of Palisade, NE, Mary Linn of Loveland, CO, Daniel David of Westminster, CO
and Paul of Estes Park, CO; nine grandchildren Malinda Barbara of Lafayette, CO, Andrea of Phoenix, AZ,
Ashley of Loveland, CO, Kyle of Denver, CO, Calynn of Denver, CO, Jayme of Pontiac, MI, and Nicole
(Nikki), Brandon, and Joseph (Joey) of Saginaw, MI; and her brother Jerome George Burzyck of Saginaw,
Barb was predeceased by her husband Earl and three of her children Kevin James, Roger Allen and Linda
Ann as well as six of her brothers and sisters Raymond, Daniel, Seraphine, Joseph, Mary Jane and Helen.
Barb lived a full life of both joy, with the people and pets that she loved and who loved her, and sorrow
from the family that she lost during her life. Through it all she showed us the strength and joy that can
be gained living a selfless, truly caring and giving life, through thick and thin. She is an example to all of a
life well lived. She will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her.
