Tomas Maestas of Longmont, passed away on November 27, 2017 in the presence of his loving family. He was born in Taos New Mexico to Jacobo and Celina Maestas. He is the youngest of twelve children.
He served in the US Army from 1955-1957 and graduated in 1992 with an Associates degree in Drafting. Tomas married Alice (Romero) on October 8, 1958, they recently enjoyed their 59th anniversary. Tomas was a Pattern Maker by trade and an talented craftsman. Any of us that are privileged enough to have any of his woodwork know that it was made by a man of great talent, a true artist who made beautiful pieces that grace our homes and are located throughout the United States.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with friends and family and spent most summer weekends camping in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. He was a humble man with a big heart, loved to share a good laugh, and was a dear friend to all.
