Maria Rita Antonio Tingley was born in Pasay, Philippines on May 21, 1966. Rita passed away in Longmont, Colorado on November 11, 2017. Rita was an avid reader of her native language, Tagalog and many books in English. She had college engineering training in the Philippines. God blessed her with a very talented singing voice and she performed many places in the Philippines including the famous Philippine Cultural Center in Manila before large audiences. Later Rita sang in the USA in Colorado, Las Vegas, Arizona, California and many more different venues. In Cainta Rizal she learned the ropes of business in a manufacturing company of technical doors at her father’s large Fil-Shutter Company. Rita became an administrative genius for business owners.
Near the year 1995 she became the Praise & Worship Leader of a “born-again” Christian church in Cainta Rizal, Philippines. Rita moved to Longmont, Colorado on May 21, 2004 to marry Alex Tingley.
While in Longmont she became the top administration director of her husband’s New York Life business as well as becoming an Agent of NYL. Rita served the LORD in two Longmont churches in the area of praise and worship, Front Range Christian Fellowship and since 2011 at World Restoration Fire Church, founded by Pastor Paul Varghese.
Maria Rita was strong in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Her faith gave her much strength in her 3 year battle with cancer. She was very courageous to her last breathe. She immensely loved her children, husband and all of her family members. Rita also found very favor with her Filipino-American Community here in Longmont and other parts of Colorado. One of her last performances was at the Longmont Twin Peaks Rotary where she sang the Star Spangled Banner. Two weeks ago she sang at the New York Life to some Chamber of Commerce members. Also, three weeks ago she led the praise and worship service at her spirit filled World Restoration Fire Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alex Tingley of Longmont, her daughter, Michelle A. Antonio of Thornton, CO, her son, Robi W. Antonio of Longmont, her grand-daughter, Maelynn A. Bell, her wonderful two step children, Austin A. Tingley of Denver/Longmont & Paris A. Tingley of Longmont, her two loving sisters, Cora ANAS and Christina Antonio of Cainta Rizal, Philippines, her beloved brother Benjamin Antonio, Jr. of Cainta Rizal, Philippines, her loving mother, Natividad Antonio of the Philippines as well as many beautiful nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close loving cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home on Friday, November 17th 2017. Funeral services will be held at Life Bridge Christian Church on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. There is a fellowship luncheon at Life Bridge. On Sunday, November 19th, 10:30 a.m. there is a Celebration of Life Memorial service at World Restoration Fire Church located at 408 Sherman Street in Longmont, C0.
