Heath R. Carroll, Funeral Director
Heath is a native of Colorado. He was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. He began Funeral Service in 1996 at the age of 17, working for the largest Funeral Service provider in the United States at Stoddard Funeral Home in Greeley, Colorado.
Heath graduated from Greeley Central High School and then attended college in Dallas, Texas where he graduated from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1998. Heath then returned to Greeley to become the manager of Stoddard Funeral Home specializing in making each funeral service a unique and memorable experience. He is a certified funeral director and embalmer, with a special talent in Reconstruction and Restorative Art.
He has two children, Loralei and Landon. They are both very active and keep him busy along with their four dogs. In his spare time; Heath enjoys spending time with his children. Other hobbies include snowmobiling, ice fishing, camping, boating, gardening and riding his Harley. Heath is involved in many organizations past and present; he is working with Drive Smart Weld County, 19th Judicial Victims Compensation and Law Enforcement Board, Tailgate the Safety Way, National Crime Prevention Council 2007 Presenter, Suicide Education/Support Services, the Weld County Sheriff's Office Volunteer/Reserve and is a board member for Longmont Meals on Wheels. |

Alejandro Manuel Ruiz, Funeral Director
Alejandro Manuel Ruiz is a native of Chicago, Illinois and joined the Longmont community in November of 2008. Alejandro attended Archsihop Quigley Preparatory Seminary and graduated in 1996. He then went on to attend Columbia College-Chicago and after two years in the arts, decided to follow his passion and explore caring for those in need. Throughout this experience, Alejandro worked at a doctor’s office, on an ambulance as an EMT-Basic and as an Emergency Room Tech. It was in the year 2003 that Alejandro met Roland Weis, funeral director and owner of Evanston Funeral and Cremation in Illinois. After accompanying Roland on a funeral service, Alejandro decided that his journey had ended. He had finally found his true calling.
Alejandro attended Malcolm X College Mortuary Science Program in Chicago and graduated in May of 2006. He received an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences/Mortuary Science and successfully passed the National Board Exam. Alejandro completed his Funeral Director/Embalmer apprenticeship in Illinois in 2007 and has since maintained full licensure there. Alejandro married his wife, Janet , that same year and they relocated to California from Illinois. After a year there, they moved to Colorado and have since not looked back.
Alejandro is a veteran of the Army National Guard, where he served for six years as an Infantryman, Chaplain Assistant, and a member of the Honor Guard. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 14898 and Assembly 94 as well as a member of the American Legion Harold Buckley Post 32, all in Longmont. Alejandro and Janet attend St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. When not at work he and Janet enjoy travelling, hiking, fishing, and the arts. He is currently in the process of completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.
Alejandro is a Certified Mortuary Science Practitioner and joined Carroll-Lewellen Funeral and Cremation Services as a partner in April of 2010. He is fluent in Spanish and greatly looks forward to serving the Latino families in Longmont and all of Boulder County.

Patrick F. Casey, Funeral Director
Patrick is a retired police commander with over 37 years of Law Enforcement experience. He is a graduate of the 149th Session of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy. He has been very active in the Funeral business for the last six years. Patrick is a certified funeral director and embalmer with over 10 years in the funeral industry.
Patrick enjoys serving families and helping them through a difficult time in their lives. He is married to Mary (Coulson) Casey. They have been married for 44 years and have 3 grown children, 6 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.

Patrick is an active member of St. John the Baptist Church in Longmont and St.
Theresa’s in Frederick. He enjoys running and motorcycle touring with his wife.

Robert Sweeney Jr., Advance Planning Director
Bob has lived in Longmont for 19 years with his wife Lacy; they have been married 28 years. They have four children Ben, Rafferty, Clara and Grace. He has an AAS Degree in Business Management; he also has various awards for Business, Insurance and customer service. He is a Certified Senior Advisor Course graduate. He also has his licenses in Colorado to sell Life and Health Insurance.
He has 20+ years as a Dairy Farmer; he also has experience with John Deere, Equitable Life, US Healthcare Group and The Hartford. He has helped establish two new retail outlets for different companies. He has also been involved in the Coffee Business in the service and repairs department for 10 years. He really enjoys serving families and helping them with their long term funeral needs.
He enjoys spending time on his small farm raising Nubian goats which he uses the
milk to make homemade cheese and yogurt. He has a large garden and loves the
county living. He also enjoys his 25 acres that he has a grass hay farm on.

Ron Knopp, Assistant Funeral Director
Ron is a native of Colorado and loves Colorado life. Ron works for the
Postal Service in Longmont as a Bicycle Letter Carrier, he has been with them
since 1973. He has been working in Funeral Homes and helping families for the
last 16 years. He is married to Nicki; they have been married for 35 years and
have one daughter Fawn.

Some of his past community involvements have included being a Board
Member/President of the Longmont Humane Society, and a Board Member/Deputy Chief
on the Longmont Emergency Unit. He enjoys wood working and long distance
cycling.
Joe E. Vickarelli, Assistant Funeral Director
Joe was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado. He currently lives in
Greeley, Colorado with his wife Val. He has two daughters and three
grandchildren with whom he loves spending time. Joe went to college in Greeley
where he earned a B.A., M.A. and a K-12 Principal Certification. He taught for
42 years in several school districts in various positions such as a Spanish
Teacher, Health Teacher, Principal and Coach.
He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks
Club, a past committee member of Greeley Independence Stampede and a volunteer
for Rocky Mountain National Park.
Some of Joe’s hobbies include gardening, exercising, traveling and making
stained glass.
Jenny Howe, Assistant Funeral Director
Jenny was raised in Lakewood, Colorado and has lived and worked in Longmont for
the past 13 years. She has enjoyed careers in Human Resources and Massage
Therapy, and now, after 20+ years in part-time funeral service, she is enrolled
at Arapahoe Community College, completing courses to earn her degree in Mortuary
Science. She graduated from Boulder College of Massage Therapy with an
Associates degree and stayed on as an instructor for 5 years. She also spent
time in Oklahoma City with the National Disaster Mortuary Team (DMORT),
recovering, identifying and caring for victims after the bombing of the Murrah
Federal Building. She is a member of Life Bridge Christian Church in Longmont.
She enjoys yard work and spending time with her dogs, “making noise” on her
cello, camping with her family, hiking and reading. Jenny looks forward to
helping families through all aspects of the funeral process.
