Sandra Sundquist, known to the people close to her as Bambi, passed away at Longmont United Hospital, surrounded by family, on March 24, 2013. She was born on June 03, 1944 to Arlo Wilson and Daisy Johnson in Louisville, CO.
Sandra met her soulmate, Dennis Sundquist when she was 14 years old and they married on January 28, 1964 in Raton, New Mexico. She worked as a Facilities Administrator at NCAR in Boulder for 17 years. She graduated from Regis University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, in 2002 at age 58 while battling late stage Breast Cancer which she beat. She also received a degree in Graphoanalysis. In her free time Sandra wrote poems, read Tarot cards, and tea leaves. She loved everything to do with Astrology and studied numerology. She greatly enjoyed sports and never missed her grandchildren's sporting events. She filled many hours with Sudoku, puzzles, and brightening her family's day. She was an incredibly social butterfly and inspired each and every person she came in contact with. Here favorite quotes were "If you Believe you will Achieve" and "Dance like no one is Watching".
Sandra is survived by her husband, Dennis; five sisters: Janice Anderson of Broomfield, Margie Lazuk of Louisville, Cherahl Ross of Boulder, Dorothy Hensly of Longmont and Enid Bauer of Salida; three daughters and son-in-laws, Denise & Terry Anderson of Louisville, Julie & Del Harris of Brighton, and Wendy & John England of Louisville; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be incredibly missed by many family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ralph Wilson and by two sisters, Nadine Channel and Sonya Estes.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm on March 27, 2013 at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home in Longmont. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
