Yolanda Calanche Hernandez, 70, passed away on July 18, 2017, in Longmont with her family. Yolanda was born on May 7th, 1947, in Pecos, Texas. She is survived by her children Norma Crump and husband, Elmer Crump, Moroni Barraza II, Mario Hernandez, and Victor M. Hernandez.
Yolanda has also survived by her grandchildren, Saul, Jacob, and Ashley. Yolanda was loved, by her great grandchildren Jacob Nathan Ortiz Jr. and Sarah Nicole Barraza.
Besides being a great mother and grandmother, “Yoly” enjoyed activities with her family and friends. She loved meeting new people and trying new things. She was very forgiving, humble who loved Adonai (GOD) in every way. She worked hard raising 4 children on her own; she never gave up and gave credit to the Lord for her strength. Her hobbies were reading, listening to old gospel music her grandmother Carolina would listen to from when she was a young child. She loved to play dominoes and Uno with her family and was a self-taught Sumi painter. She had a passion for the Japanese culture, drawing bamboos and lettering. She enjoyed sitting outside and watching the squirrels, bird watching and flowers. Her favorite color was red; it reminded her of Yeshua’s (Jesus) love for her. She taught her children and grandchildren with life lessons and to always lean on the Lord for strength and comfort. She lived a full and happy life.
Yolanda is now in heaven and reunited with her parents, grandparents and her younger brother Ruben. They wait for her at the pearly gates of heaven with open loving arms. She faces Jesus, hearing His words, “You have done well my daughter”. We will miss you mom. We will miss you grandma.
“38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers, neither what exists nor what is coming, 39 neither powers above nor powers below, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of Adonai which comes to us through the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.” -Romans 8:38-39
