Carroll-Lewellen Funeral and Cremation Services History
Carroll-Lewellen Funeral and Cremation Services was originally opened as Prohs Funeral Home in 1922. The business was later known as Robinson Funeral Home after it was purchased by John and Rita Robinson. Max and Marge Lewellen bought the funeral home in 1947, and the new business name reflected the purchase: Lewellen Funeral Home.
In 1987, Lewellen Funeral Home was purchased by Mr. Dugan and he changed the name to Lewellen Longmont Memorial Chapel, which proudly included its hometown name. Today the funeral home name reflects its heritage and the family name of the owners, Heath and his children, Loralei and Landon Carroll. The Carrolls purchased the funeral home in December of 2007.
Carroll-Lewellen Funeral and Cremation Services continue to offer quality, exceptional and affordable funeral services to the people of the Longmont area and neighboring cities. A remodeling and modernization was completed in 2002 to meet the needs of the handicapped and disabled. Our facilities were redesigned with the express goal of making each individual service a personal and meaningful experience. Our facilities are warm, inviting and calming, with many personal touches including the paintings of local artists.
