Heath R. Carroll, Funeral Director

Heath is a native of Colorado. He was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. He began Funeral Service in 1996 at the age of 17, working for the largest Funeral Service provider in the United States at Stoddard Funeral Home in Greeley, Colorado.

Heath graduated from Greeley Central High School and then attended college in Dallas, Texas where he graduated from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1998. Heath then returned to Greeley to become the manager of Stoddard Funeral Home specializing in making each funeral service a unique and memorable experience. He is a certified funeral director and embalmer, with a special talent in Reconstruction and Restorative Art.

He has two children, Loralei and Landon. They are both very active and keep him busy along with their four dogs. In his spare time; Heath enjoys spending time with his children. Other hobbies include snowmobiling, ice fishing, camping, boating, gardening and riding his Harley. Heath is involved in many organizations past and present; he is working with Drive Smart Weld County, 19th Judicial Victims Compensation and Law Enforcement Board, Tailgate the Safety Way, National Crime Prevention Council 2007 Presenter, Suicide Education/Support Services, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer/Reserve and is a board member for Longmont Meals on Wheels.

Robert Sweeney Jr., Advance Planning Director

Bob has lived in Longmont for 19 years with his wife Lacy; they have been married 28 years. They have four children Ben, Rafferty, Clara and Grace. He has an AAS Degree in Business Management; he also has various awards for Business, Insurance and customer service. He is a Certified Senior Adviser Course graduate. He also has his licenses in Colorado to sell Life and Health Insurance.

He has 20+ years as a Dairy Farmer; he also has experience with John Deere, Equitable Life, US Healthcare Group and The Hartford. He has helped establish two new retail outlets for different companies. He has also been involved in the Coffee Business in the service and repairs department for 10 years. He really enjoys serving families and helping them with their long term funeral needs. He enjoys spending time on his small farm raising Nubian goats which he uses the milk to make homemade cheese and yogurt. He has a large garden and loves the county living. He also enjoys his 25 acres that he has a grass hay farm on.

Colette Blough, Funeral and Cemetery Pre-Planning Specialist, Marketing Director

Colette wears a variety of hats, as do most of our team. Colette has been helping families with pre-planning their final funeral & cremation arrangements since 2008. She is also an integral member at our cemetery Foothills Gardens of Memory located north of Longmont. As a cemeterian, Colette helps families during their burial process and afterwards with their headstones, markers and memorial benches. Colette is a licensed life insurance agent for pre-planning funeral and cremations services. She has the opportunity to meet families before a death has occurred, allowing families to have fun and take an active role in their final wishes. Colette has an extensive background in marketing and maintains the websites and designs the promotional information printed for our customers. She lives in Windsor Colorado with her daughter and enjoys working in her yard, swimming biking and yearly trips to Mexico.

 

Eric Johnson, Funeral Director 

Eric has lived in the Longmont area for most of his life. Born in Boulder, he attended elementary school there until moving to Longmont in the mid 80’s He attended Northeast Junior High, and then Skyline High School.

   Eric showed an interest in the funeral industry at a young age. He started washing cars at a local funeral home while still in junior high. After high school he went to work for a major funeral home in Denver working in their care center.  Growing up Eric also had a passion for trucking. After leaving the funeral industry he went on to haul everything from aggregate to some of the largest equipment made. He also hauled many pieces for windmills all over the United States. After a 15 year career he decided to return to funeral service. 

  Eric lives in Longmont with his son Blake and their pit-bull Paris.  In his free time he enjoys watching his son play sports, boating, camping, and spending time with his parents who still live in Longmont. Eric also loves coaching baseball. He has coached baseball locally for the past few years. 

 Eric brings the care and compassion that families need during their trying time.

 

Ron Knopp, Assistant Funeral Director

Ron is a native of Colorado and loves Colorado life. Ron works for the Postal Service in Longmont as a Bicycle Letter Carrier, he has been with them since 1973. He has been working in Funeral Homes and helping families for the last 16 years. He is married to Nicki; they have been married for 35 years and have one daughter Fawn.

Some of his past community involvements have included being a Board Member/President of the Longmont Humane Society, and a Board Member/Deputy Chief on the Longmont Emergency Unit. He enjoys wood working and long distance cycling.

 

Jenny Howe, Assistant Funeral Director

Jenny was raised in Lakewood, Colorado and has lived and worked in Longmont for the past 13 years. She has enjoyed careers in Human Resources and Massage Therapy, and now, after 20+ years in part-time funeral service, she is enrolled at Arapahoe Community College, completing courses to earn her degree in Mortuary Science. She graduated from Boulder College of Massage Therapy with an Associates degree and stayed on as an instructor for 5 years. She also spent time in Oklahoma City with the National Disaster Mortuary Team (DMORT), recovering, identifying and caring for victims after the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building. She is a member of Life Bridge Christian Church in Longmont. She enjoys yard work and spending time with her dogs, “making noise” on her cello, camping with her family, hiking and reading. Jenny looks forward to helping families through all aspects of the funeral process.
